Food Trip in Cebu City: Five Must-Go Places to Eat

May 10, 2016

I don't think my summer is complete without going to the Queen City of the South, Cebu. This place has given me lots and lots of memories and adventures. Cebu is a place that makes me really happy and gives me so much memories. There are numerous of different malls, restaurants, places and cute stores in Cebu City with really attractive clothes, luscious food, and 'instagrammable' views. Malls like Ayala Center and SM City provide a range of shopping, dining and leisure activities for various budgets. I have been to both malls and ate at some of their restaurants.

FUDGE RESTAURANT
This restaurant in Ayala is my all time favorite. The food there is toothsome, especially their mouthwatering lava cake. I also tasted their Army Navy, a club sandwich with melted cheese, and it tasted delectable. Every food inside that restaurant is literally heaven! They do not only serve sweets, but they also have dishes for breakfast, lunch or even dinner. Fudge is located at the very top of Ayala Mall.

What we ordered:
Lava Cake - PHP 120
Pizookie - PHP 120
Army Navy - PHP 190
Grilled Pork Steak - PHP 270
Grilled Salmon - PHP 380

PIZZA REPUBLIC
I have been dying to visit Pizza Republic ever since the Ato Ni Vines members: Matt Lubid, Lenarr Sanchez and Arjay Fedillaga started to promote this pizza place on their facebook page. They provide only the pizza dough and you get to choose your own toppings! Our first try kind of fail because we forgot to put some mozzarella cheese. There were different sizes  of pizzas and they cost less only P245! They serve other foods like salads and desserts.

S & R NEW YORK STYLE PIZZA
S&R is a membership-shopping club patterned after the warehouse membership shopping chains popular in the United States. It is like a gigantic mall with groceries, furniture and of course, their food court. It is quite expensive though it is still very worth it. S&R's large pizza is kind of everyone's favorite including me, of course.

What we ordered:
Combo Pizza - PHP 549
Cheese Pizza - PHP 499
Pepperoni - PHP 549

ICE GIANTS
This is not located in Ayala Mall nor SM City. It is found near the Capitol, also in Parkmall. From the name itself, this ice cream house has enormous ice creams and halo-halo. They are massive and they taste so delightful. It is perfect for summer and their gigantic ice cream really beats the summer heat. They also serve fries, banana split and etc.

What we ordered:
French Fries - PHP 85
Halo-halo Giants - PHP 128
Cookies n' Cream Giants - PHP 98
Oreo Cookies Sundae - PHP128

LA VIE PARISIENNE
Last but not the least, La Vie. The french macarons of this shop tastes divine. I was tired walking and roaming around the mall and I found this shop just right around the corner near a huge glass window in Ayala. The place was really cute together with their endearing plates. I haven't been to the original La Vie Parisienne but I'm hoping to visit soon.

Their macarons tasted so delight and cost P40 each.
